Pete Smith (Chairman, President and CEO).
Mr. Smith obtained a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of British Columbia in 1999, a Masters degree from
Cambridge University in the United Kingdom in 1998, and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Simon Fraser University in 1995.
Upon completing his LL.B. at UBC Law, Mr. Smith accepted a clerkship at the Supreme Court of Canada for the honorable
Justice Louise Arbour. From September 2002 to September 2003, Mr. Smith was an associate with the law firm of Debevoise &
Plimpton in New York City, where he worked in areas of project financing and public markets. From May 2004 until June 2006,
Mr. Smith served as Vice President of Magnus International Resources, a U.S. publicly traded mineral exploration company
(MGNU.OB) with interests in China and Africa. Mr. Smith is currently also a director of Amicus Capital Corp., a private
British Columbia capital pool company and of Terra Firma Resources Inc., a private British Columbia company which conducts
uranium exploration activities in Canada. Mr. Smith co-founded First Source in 2005.
